This class is for patients who will undergo hip or knee replacement surgery, providing education on how to prepare for the surgery and recovery. This class will provide education on how to prepare for the surgery and recovery. This class is NOT for patients undergoing a shoulder replacement surgery.

Come learn strategies to clear your mind and improve your mood in Introduction to Stress Management, how to visualize healing and promote well-being with Guided Imagery, and experience Gentle Yoga while seated for a more relaxed body and mind. This free series of classes are open to all Hartford Hospital Cancer Program patients and their care-givers. You may attend any or all sessions. Online registration survey questions are mandatory and must be completed in order to secure your registration.

This four-week program strengthens and tones muscles, making you more comfortable during pregnancy and better prepared for the delivery of your baby. Classes are led by a certified Prenatal Yoga instructor. The schedule listed below reflects the first class of each four week series.

This class includes discussion on what a new baby looks like, does, and what a sibling can do with their new brother or sister. This class also includes listening to a story, watching a video on being a big brother or big sister, and practice things like changing diapers and holding and burping a pretend baby. This class concludes with a tour of the Family Birthing Center and when permissible, the sibling gets to see a newborn infant. Online registration survey questions are mandatory and must be completed in order to secure your registration.
