    This group is open to any person who has experienced the loss of a loved one. You are welcome to attend as few or as many as you like; this is a continuous group and is for the purpose of on-going support.

  • Teen Childbirth Prep & Infant Care

    Location: Backus Hospital

    This is a two-session class to prepare adolescents for childbirth and infant care. Session one focuses on preparation for labor & delivery. Session two focuses on nurturing your newborn - instruction about newborn behavior and care.

  • Sibling Class

    Wednesday, February 1, 5:30PM - 6:30PM
    Location: MidState Medical Center - Rear of Cafeteria

    This class includes discussion on what a new baby looks like, does, and what a sibling can do with their new brother or sister. This class also includes listening to a story, watching a video on being a big brother or big sister, and practice things like changing diapers and holding and burping a pretend baby. This class concludes with a tour of the Family Birthing Center and when permissible, the sibling gets to see a newborn infant. Online registration survey questions are mandatory and must be completed in order to secure your registration.

  • Prenatal Yoga

    Location: Hartford Hospital Wellness Center at Blue Back Square

    This four-week program strengthens and tones muscles, making you more comfortable during pregnancy and better prepared for the delivery of your baby. Classes are led by a certified Prenatal Yoga instructor. The schedule listed below reflects the first class of each four week series.

    Understand the unique needs of your newborn and learn great tips on diapering, bathing and general care. If you are a patient at the Women's Ambulatory Health Services Clinic please call 860-545-1888 to complete your registration. PLEASE ENROLL MOTHER-TO-BE-ONLY. ONE SUPPORT PERSON MAY ATTEND BUT IS ASKED NOT TO REGISTER.
