Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
Mindfulness is a way to fully engage with your life and learn to live in the present moment. This 8-week intensive mindfulness training will help you develop the skills to bring your attention to the present moment and directly work with your own stress, illness, pain or everyday challenges of life.
Participants who have completed the 8-week mindfulness based stress reduction course have reported reduction in stress and anxiety/depression, decreased pain (both acute and chronic), increased concentration, greater energy level and improved self-esteem.
This course is taught by Amanda Votto, who is a practicing physician assistant at Hartford Hospital and a trained mindfulness teacher through the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She strongly believes in a holistic approach to health and leads others to take an active role in their overall well-being.
