Seizures and Epilepsy
Epilepsy is the fourth leading neurological disorder in the US, after migraine, stroke and Alzheimer's disease. There are more than 60,000 people in Connecticut diagnosed with epilepsy, and thousands more who remain undiagnosed or not effectively treated. Seizures can lead to accidental injury, decreased quality of life and can even be life threatening. Having unpredictable seizures can make it impossible to drive to work or to participate fully in everyday activities.
