Over 60 Weight Training
This Monday/Wednesday 8 session exercise class for adults over 60 will focus on building muscular strength, endurance and flexibility throughout the whole body. Resistance Training will utilize light weights, bands, Kettlebell and bodyweight movements. Movement based exercises will focus on squat, lunge; upper body push and upper body pull variations.
Benefits of regular class participants: improves activities of daily living, gait pattern (walking straight versus shuffling), balance, lower back pain, signs and symptoms of COPD and arthritis. Also lowers risk of heart disease, reduces risk of orthopedic injury and increases muscle mass. Class Dates
