Craig Allen, MD, FASAM, Medical Director, Vice President of Addiction Services, Hartford HealthCare Behavioral Health Network, says that it is unusual for children under the age of 16 to be using fentanyl or opioids, but only two percent of children that age who are using opioids receive treatment.
